a typical Project. Our typical projects are "turn-key" Our clients want our advice from start to finish. Seldom do we conduct narrowly defined projects where our involvement is marginal or we simply work in the "background". In one example, we were asked to assume immediate direction of a small entrepreneur, engineering staff for a brief season. We directly managed the staff to accomplish designs necessary to meet FDA requirements. Our client was skilled and had already matured and sold a medical device business. In almost every case we are involved at several levels in the engineering development of the device. Consider this a key distinction. We should add that we usually must prove ourselves, to each client over and over since the risks to the client are quite high. Seldom are we given this widespread carte blanche without proving ourselves to the client.
